NGURUMAN: NAVIGATING THE BLESSINGS AND CHALLENGES OF RAIN
In times of drought, we realize the true value of rain. However, the blessings of rain can bring with them unforeseen challenges, such as widespread flooding as seen in the recent plight of Kenya and Kenyans. Many communities across the country have been devastated, with lives lost and homes destroyed.
We appeal to your generosity to assist those affected. Your help, no matter how small, can make a big difference.
Numerous displaced families are facing uncertainty about their next meal. Your willingness to forego just one meal to assist them holds immeasurable value.
Local Relief Efforts
Safiri Nasi together with the Engoloon Community – Based Organisation (CBO) provided food supplies to 28 families displaced by floods in Nguruman, Olkiramatian, Kajiado West. These families were uprooted by a river that changed course, sweeping away homes, including a local church, dispensary, and a polytechnic institution.
Fortunately, no lives have been lost as far as we know, but among the displaced are elderly people and small children, who are especially vulnerable.

Continuous Need for Support
The need is ongoing, and we are committed to supporting these families until the water recedes and they can return safely to rebuild their homes.
How You Can Help
We appeal to everyone to contribute whatever they can, no matter how modest, be it monetary donations, food supplies, or clothing – to help support these families during this challenging period.
Get To Know Engoloon Better
In addition to their disaster response to the natural calamity in Olkiramatian, the CBO has been actively engaged in educating the community on hygiene, FGM, early pregnancy, substance abuse, and early pregnancy marriages that plague their Masai Community.
How You Can Donate
To donate, you can send your contribution via Mpesa to Safiri Nasi’s number 0724038324 (registered under Eliud Ndung’u), or get in touch with us directly to donate to Engoloon CBO.
